Ann Welk Rudd, Painter
Favorite themes for strong, abstract and impressionist paintings
are water conditions, storms, environment of the sea, plus still life
paintings, homebody style.
Studied Visual Design in the School of Architecture and Art at Auburn University,
1963-66 with additional courses in painting and print-making at Troy
University.
Served four terms from 70's to 2004 as President of The Dale
County Council of Arts and Humanities in Alabama, and as current Board of
Directors member.
Developed, with husband, Jim Rudd, The Dowling Museum/ Ann Rudd
Art Center in 1999, a Millenium project. ruddartcenter.org
